Temptation

Sin is a thing, of which I can speak,
We all know it well no matter how meek.
Temptation is a thing of a nasty snake,
It will spear through your heart like a dark wooden stake.
It can wreck your life in one single moment.
It’ll tear down your mind with self scorn torment.

Today there is a girl you can find all alone.
She had fallen for temptation all on her own.
There is deep pain in her haunting bright eyes,
She is too broken down to wear her disguise.
A tear full of sorrow slips down her cheek,
Silent melodies of heartbreak from her mouth she will shriek.

The girl had everything good, a perfect love,
She followed all the rules of her god above.
Yes, its temptation that was her downfall,
Temptation, temptation, has ruined it all.
He was the best she ever had,
Never, not once treated her bad.

Their spark seemed to blossom into something quite true,
But then she did something horrible right out of the blue.
An unfaith full deed that crushed their hearts alike,
The consequences came with a great stinging strike.
His heart torn to shreds he left her disappointed,
Because of what she did their love would never be anointed.

In one single moment she broke both their hearts,
So on herself she left terrible scars and marks.
He forgave her eventually, put the problem on the shelf,
But the girl was too broken, never to forgive herself.
And so the girl still cries from the pain in a room of all black,
Hoping and praying that one day he’ll take her back.
So she will just sit and she will just wait,
Leaving it all up to her fate.
