A Fireman I hope to someday be whenever I finish school and get my degree.
From pain to flame when you need someone you can count on firefighters they always come.
They stand between life and death in heat so hot it will take your breath.
A firefighters purpose is to protect your home both night and day.
They know the dangers and always take a chance; they grab their gear and make a stance.
The blinding smoke and soaring heat cause deadly tolls to young and old.
Firefighters are very brave in everything they do; they are always available for me and you.
A firefighter is dressed and ready for the fight.
So as the alarm rings they dash to the fight.
With sirens blaring and lights flashing they turn the corner and see the action.
The smoke is billowing and with soaring heat the firemen prepares to take a beating.
With a child screaming from inside the firemen mask up and go inside.
The child is screaming from the room that the firemen have trouble getting in to.
With the fire surrounding and heat rising the firemen will take a chance and make a stance.
The child is quickly grabbed and removed out of harm’s way and the child is safe and ok.
The firemen extinguish the fire and the hose is cleaned up and stacked on the side.
The firemen return to their quarters to rest where they prepare to make another stance.
A fireman never knows what’s to come; he just prepares for the worst and prays for the best.
As the firemen go home so see their family they know that each day is a blessing.
They pray to God to keep them safe and let them fight another day.
The fireman that I hope to one day be now that I am, and will always be.
This answers the faith question because the firefighters risk their lives for others.
