Ginny

Can you imagine the person you have been closest with the longest,
Has been taken away from you in the ways of the harshest?
Would you ever forgive yourself,
If this all happened on your fault?
You would not recognize yourself anymore.
Memories would eat your every thought.

You laughed, cried, and fought with this girl.
Your inside jokes you will always remember.
But what if because you wanted to talk to her,
She could be gone forever?

I used to be a big follower of fate,
But because of this incident, I cannot help but to debate.
For this could have been avoided.
This did not need to be.
It is even scarier for me to have suggested,
That this happened because of me.
My best friend’s time had ended,
In the year of 2011.
So she walked the lengthy stairway,
The lengthy stairway to heaven.

When she was alive back on Earth, she was walking down a busy road.
She was not paying attention, and she accidentally dropped her phone.
Without thinking twice, she went back to go risk it,
And got struck by a van in critical condition.
Rumors spread like wildfire, and every day a tear was shed,
That week long of hell replays in my head.
“How did you know it was me,” you may ask?
I only received one message since.

Was it fate for her to end unnoticed?
I highly doubt it, this could have been avoided.
But how was I to know?
That the last message I sent her was her message to go?

Now where the driver had gotten their license, still remains a mystery to me.
The police let them get away it though, not a charge, wiped clean.
It shouldn't matter whether it was an accident or on purpose,
Somebody had died; somebody should do something about it.

Nevertheless, knowing her, she did not die in vain,
Because she donated her body to sixty one people in pain.
But was it fate for her life to end unnoticed?
I do not think so, Ginny will get her justice.
